From Basin parking took Liberty Springs to Flume Slide trail. Slide trail broken and firm but hasn't seen much traffic. May quickly become hard to follow if we get some new snow. Up slide was easier than in summer. A few scary looking ice floes but easily skirted with microspikes. The slide has collected quite a bit of firm snow, so very manageable, though wouldn't try it without traction. Flume to Liberty was well packed (Thanks Ed and Lauky and others). Liberty Springs junction to Falling Waters junction on ridge was a different story. Switched to snowshoes and was pretty much breaking trail the whole way. Lots of drifts and only occasional signs of others having passed. From falling waters to Lafayette and down Bridal Path was microspikes the whole way. Lots of ice, one short scary stretch heading down Lafayette towards hut almost had me pull out the crampons. Bridal Path is smooth and firm. Had dropped skis at Lafayette Place so skied back to Basin, snowmobile trail is fantastic, really nice snow and not icy.

Equipment: traction for sure, snowshoes only if traversing between Liberty and Lincoln.
