On Sunday, we found the Franconia Ridge trail unbroken from Liberty trail towards Little Haystack! I could not believe that nobody went through such a popular trail section during the entire busy weekend!
So my heroic wife and poor me had to break the trail to Little Haystack. We did not have snowshoes (oops!) so the trail breaking took us 3 fun-filled hours! Where were all those properly equipped folks with snowshoes?
OK, the trail is broken now but do not count on fast going. So far it's just my wife and me, nobody followed us on Sunday.
F.W.T. descent was very fast in bareboots.
