The ground was absolutely saturated, and there was water everywhere. Stream crossings were very high and challenging. Trail up Flume was a steam in places. There is also one spot right before a stream crossing where it looks like the trail crosses the steam and goes up a hill, and there is a very clear trail going up the hill. Do not go up the hill, in fact, do not cross the stream. Walk back and you will see the trail turns up the hill, keeping the stream to your right.

The slide was very mossy, very slimy, and very very slippery. I would not go up the trail at all next week, and certainly not without at least four dry days. It is very very wet up there now and water was flowing down the rock in many places, making climbing very difficult.

The ridge itself was in beautiful condition, as was the trail all the way down. Greenleaf is in very nice condition.

Lots of blackflies!
