I decided to take a quick hike up Friday and Balsam Cap today . Maddy had to work,but my friend Linda was up for going. She had climbed both mountains 2 x and no views were to had. One day it was foggy and one day we climbed them in a snow storm.Today was a good day ,we jumped a few bears on the way up and I even managed to get a couple of pictures.F 11 opens them up better.It's hard for me to get a decent picture of a bear because they don't stick around long enough for a good shot. All 3 bears were in different spots and different bears.Only the upper sections of the mountains had any ice and snow and we managed to climb both mountains without any snowshoes or traction devices.
