We met the dearly departed DR at the end of Moon Haw Road at 8:00 and started up the network of old roads. It was fairly straightforward, with a dusting of snow appearing and turning to 3-4" of powder at the top. We got a little off the ideal herd path(s) from time to time, but we found both canisters. One of us bare booted, one used Microspikes, and one used Stabilicers. Neither Crampons nor snowshoes would have been useful today.
It took 5 hours to get to BC (via a minor detour to Friday ) and 2 hours to get back to the car!
Temps were in the teens, with Sun shining here and there. No wind to speak of. A nice day to get to know a new friend.
