Dick, Jo, Bookah and I were fortunate to have as our companion Ralph Ryndak, 420 gridder, Catskill wizard, and all around good guy. Getting these 2 peaks is not the challenge. Finding your way thru the cliff bands on Friday Mt, and getting the right herd path down and out of the mess in the col between the 2 peaks is an earned art.
BC and Friday are in Ralphs's backyard(really) and he knows the area like the back of his hand.
Great route, a 1940's bomber crash site on the way back to the trailhead, good company with everyone and all the great Catskill lore that pours out of Ralph.
The weather was as good as it gets for July, no bugs, no humidity...wow.
Ralph invited us all to his place for a cold one(s), and his delightful spouse, Maddy, turned that into dip, cheese and crackers, and then dinner.
This was an all around great day and I'm sure Dick and Jo will say more and Jo will post pictures.
If a tired Bookah (58/100) could talk, she'd give Ralph's route 4 wags.
