Trails: Gale River, Garfield Ridge, Frost Trails
Trail Conditions: Sections of Gale River Trail had significant wet sections: mud, standing water and running water. The single crossing in the rerouted section was easy enough. There was ice on the rocks on the way up, but it had melted by the time we returned. Trails were covered in a fresh layer of snow in the AM. Above maybe 2700' on Gale River, Garfield Ridge, and Frost Trails there were icy patches and sections of narrow, but stable monorail. Below 2500' the snow was gone on the hike out.
Special Equipment Required: We bare-booted to the summit, but put our microspikes on for the descent.
Comments: Optional - Beautiful day to be out. We only saw three others on trail.
