Extraordinary cross country ski and snowshoe conditions, rare powder for the northeast. Gale River trail is in in fast conditions.

No special equipment is necessary. Trail is well packed from several snowshoe and ski travelers, please keep it that way and don't bare boot. Crossings all on solid snow bridges.

Garfield Ridge Trail from Gale River Junction towards the Garfield Shelter looked well traveled. No one has been to the Twins from this side since the last major snowfall. Ditto for the trail to Galehead Hut from 13 Falls, expect a lot of hard work if approaching from there.

Some trifling buffoon defaced AMC signage at junction with Garfield Ridge Trail. Keep your politics to yourself rasta man, a lot of us work jobs we'd rather not be at and cherish weekends as time away from petty trifling - there is little sympathy for your juvenile attempt at Culture Jamming.

And the alleged AMC Helicoptor Noise Zone" was pristine and quiet on this winter day.

Best,
