Great article and video. It's been going on in NH for many years, and isn't going to end anytime soon. The climate, the ticks, and the brain worms are a tough threesome. Thanks for sharing!
 
Boy that was a brutally cold week up north! Low snow, very cold. Terrible for ice climbing, but also hopefully terrible for ticks, and maybe we will have a kinder tick-season for 2025.

Have been shed hunting with a buddy and three years ago in Central/Western Mass he said he came across several sites where moose had laid down "big snowmelt ovals" and each bed was ringed with a "murder scene" amount of blood. Anemic moose here are completely infested with parasites and the last two winters, other than a cold snap of a week or less, winters have been mild. Is Bullwinkle doomed?
