The May/June issue of Adirondac, the ADK magazine has up-to-date information on parking and the bus shuttle at the Garden - the popular trailhead in Keene Valley.
This is the ninth year of shuttle service - run by the Town of Keene. Contact them for questions.
Commencing Friday, May 18th, $5 ($6 Canadian) per day will be charged for parking at the Garden lot. This fee continues through October. An attendant will be there 1-7pm Fridays and 7-7 on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. Town employees and DEC Rangers will monitor the lot during the week.
The shuttle operates from Marcy Field, off Rte 73, when the lot is full. It began last weekend (Victoria Day Weekend) and will operate this weekend - Memorial Day weekend May 26, 27, 28. Hours:7am-7pm.
After that, the Shuttle will then resume June 30th, operating on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. Same schedule - The Shuttle will normally leave Marcy Field parking lot every 1/2 hour and on the hour. The last day is October 21.
Cost for shuttle: $3 ($4 Canadian), fee should be paid on way out.
A sign at the corner of Market and Adirondack Streets will indicate when the Garden Lot is closed.
