Date of Hike: 02/02/2014
Trail Conditions: Trail in good shape, a bit wet and muddy in a few spots but to be expected as it was the first over 40 degree day in a while.
Special Equipment Required: None
Comments: Had hiked in Gay City several times and Case Mountain in Manchester but it was the first time since 1991 I ventured on the Shenipsit which connects the new areas. I'll want to do this again in the Spring. It's a six mile loop with lots of Mountain Laurel and a couple of views. (Seven miles for me as I left my poles at our lunch spot) Signs entering the public drinking watershed regarding things not allowed including domestic animals ignored by many.
