Gret day for hiking this area! Trail was dry on the S side of Giant, with great views. On the N side trail was wet, with some slippery rocky areas in the initial 1.5 mile descent.
The trail to Hopkins was clear and dry. Nice conditions on Hopkins with good views.
We descended the Mossy Cascade trail in darkness, using headlamps. It was not too hard to locate the trail, but downed leaves obscured the trail in a few places, making it necessary to pan out to find the route.
Reflective trail markers were a big help during these episodes.
