Tues Feb 17- Trails were packed snow nearly the whole way. Stabilicers or Crampons would be handy on several rock faces that were iced over. Altho it'd be tough to bareboot over the ice, it was evident some had opted to meander off the trail and back on to avoid ice. Down Gaint & up RPR again was packed snow, some ice. Snowshoes not really necessary but stablicers or crampons recommended.
Tuesday was a glorious day- clear blue skies, sunshine, no wind, excellent views. Both peaks to ourselves. Saw 6 other hikers total on what (to me) has always been a busy peak.
Someone lost/left a large insulated canteen on trailmarker where Roaring Brook trail & Zander Scott trail intersect.
