Conditions: Trail base about 1 foot dense packed snow with over two feet to the sides. Warm temps above freezing had some areas off sides close to mash potato consistency but generally possible to ski out of deep trail and into woods to slow descent of steeps. I still fell 6 times -this is an expert ski. All obstacles covered. Barely a brief mist of sleet for 5 minutes late in day. Skied base to summit and back, in about 2 1/2 hours with lots of breaks heading up. Summit views of Great Range mostly obscured by clouds.
Equipment needed: Skins helped on ascent as snow was very slippery and well packed in steep sided 1 1/2 foot deep trough. This trail should be limited to skis or snowshoes only as lots of barebooters degrade it rapidly.
Comments: Give a hoot: don't bare boot! This short sweet steep trail is in very good conditon at present.
