I bought my 2nd boat a Pungo 120...just like hiking I'm just jumping into the sport without waiting...what the heck...

reason was...wanted a shorter boat for those small rivers...
wanted to get a family memberto go with me....

have a EMS credit card and it was 20% off...PRICELESS!

I actually was going there for a drysuit but realized this was a much better choice...

Hey David you really are going for it. Is the Mrs. going to kill you or what!? Have fun with your new toy, I know I'm having fun with mine. Look forward to another paddle with ya'. BTW I was catching all kinds of fish the other day. Kayak fishing can be a blast!

Tony, she doesn't know yet, but I'm sure she'll find out soon, just like the snake I brought home from school around 1998....I figure she'll never go into the storage closet  what does she do?...yep, she found it

On a different note, i scored a pair of "Yes" concert tickets at Jones Beach for this summer...30 years ago in 1978 we went on our first date to a Yes concert....god how time flies..

I'm getting my rod and real ready for some fun fishing, but I need a refresher course on tying those knots onto the hooks..

also, let me know the short skirt you use..... hmmm, sounds kinky...

Yes concert 1978?! I saw the show, I believe it was June 13th (my grandpa's birthday) 1978 at The Garden, with the circular rotating stage, set in the center of the place. Great show and THE best stage set-up, I think. Who woulda' thought that we may have been at the same show, yours and the Mrs. first date, thirty years later talking about our skirts!

Circular stage was the best, wish everyone else had done that...we were close to each other that concert but not that close...I had tickets I think at the Nassau Collesium but I could be wrong, those were some very "hazy" days....if your interested in going again your family can stay at my house that weekend....it's on 7/26 Sat night...I just bought $25 tickets through Ticketmaster..upper section but who cares...think about it...

Peter Gabriel uses a circular stage in various tours, saw them for the Us tour in Philly and they had a circular stage with a little tongue kind of thing sticking out into the audience.

Congrats on the boat. Bring the Tempest to Little Tupper though, if it's windy, the chop on the lake can get going. (plus, you'll have more room!)

Meanwhile, back on the paddle forum... ;)

I got out last weekend with Donna, Bigloop, and Shizzy on the Androscoggin in NH. Just flatwater (BoB "forgot" his yak  ), but a fun time. Headed back up next week for some trout fly fishing and yakking: 5 days, yes!

If you can figure out how to paddle your boat to Maine, you know where I am  I'll be at the cabin most every weekend (though I will be VERY busy from 7/18-8/4 with pre/post/BL'08).

I'll try my hardest, with gas prices the way they are I might just paddle up the coast....

Big boo boo today...just came back from a 1 hour paddle in the new boat, windy in the bay so I paddled in the channels looking at houses when I pass a baby goose all by itself looking for it's family....yep, I did a no no...I picked it up out of the water and paddled around looking for it's family.....yep another boo boo...it's in my bathtub right now....kids want to keep it....no way......i'm going back tomorrow to the same spot and releasing it....hope I can sleep....what would you have done?

David, Interested in a paddle from Annsville Creek (south of Peekskill)? I'd like to tie up some loose ends on the Hudson. I need to paddle the section from World's End near west point to Oscanning Island about 5ish miles south of Annsville Creek.... Thinking of a nice weekend day not in the next 2 weeks but perhaps middle to end of June...
