The hike from the Lake Road to Pyramid was not too bad. Wet because it was raining but not too much mud and running water in the trail. Hike off of Gothics was like hiking in a creek; running water the entire way. Range trail to Armstrong from the trail junction was nothing but mud and water. Running water on the ups and downs and standing water and mud on the flats. The mud and water was quite deep in some places as I found out when I slipped and had mud and water overflow into my boot. This piece of the Range trail is really in deplorable condition. Hike down the trail to Beaver Meadow Falls had mixed conditions; slippery mud, hiking in stream beds, erosion, butt slides down rock faces. There was a large volume of water flowing down those falls. It created an air current that was moving the trees. Overall, a great day in the rain.
