Trails: Phelps #1 on map, Orbed Brook #8 on map, ADK Range Trail #4 on map

Trail Conditions: Phelps Trail is muddy but in good shape. The Orbed Brook Trail is good to the slide, the trail through the slide hugs the left edge for the most part, when dry you can venture out into the middle, the bottom part is a mixed of downed trees, boulders, mud, then as you approach the ladder steps it's mostly open slab. The crew was out adding more ladder steps up the left edge to help hikers up the trail. Above the ladders the trail heads into the woods and is first muddy then becomes much better as you get closer to the Saddleback/Gothics Col. The ADK Range Trail is fine shape with the usual steep muddy messy spots heading down from gothics, armostrong, and Upper Wolfjaw, below Wolfjaw Notch the trail is in great shape.

Parking: Garden Trailhead is $7 a day

Comments: Crummy weather day, but lots of fun with good friends hiking. the Cable section up Gothics is still a blast even in sub-par conditions. the damge from Irene up the Orbed Brook slide section of the trail is a sight to see! Trip Report / Pictures
