Trail Conditions:
Unbroken trail the whole way. Took Beaver Meadow Falls trail to col between Gothics and Armstrong, and came out on wedge brook trail. Deep powder was a lot of work and slow going.
Special Equipment required:
Did not need crampons although they were carried. Snowshoes a must, poles were helpful for stabilization when sliding and for knocking powder off branches.
Comments:
Long hard day. Views were obscured on the summits for the most part, but the challenging trail made for a great hike. Special thanks to Rick and Bob for catching up to us 2/3 of the way up, and breaking trail from then on.
