Took the ore brook trail post Irene. 3/4s of the trail is in great shape, until you hit the new slide. Crews have done a lot of work in this area relocating trail, adding ladders and a long stairway. After the long stairway is where we hit trouble, the marked trail takes you out on to the steep shaded and icy slab. We decided not to chance it and bush whacked about 500 feet through the thick mossy forest. The rest of the trip went as expected up over the Gothics, Armstong and Upper Wolf Jaw, with just more ice forming then I had planned for at the high elevations. The decent from Wolf Jaw Col now has numerous trail relocations, to navigate through about three new slides.
