Great Gulf conditions

I don't see any trip reports here recently from the Great Gulf area. Anyone know what current conditions are like up to Spaulding Lake and the headwall? Might be heading up that way this weekend and would love to leave some of the winter gear at home if possible!

I was up in the Northern Pressies this week. At Madison Hut we met a father-son who came up Buttress Tr. They said Great Gulf Tr was a "warzone" after Chandler Brook Tr. Blowdowns, rotten snow, etc.

I can confirm that there is still plenty of snow around Spaulding Lake after looking down from Clay and the Gulfside on the way to Washington.

I can confirm that there is still plenty of snow around Spaulding Lake after looking down from Clay and the Gulfside on the way to Washington.

"Warzone" is a good description of that upper trail. I'll have to check back in the summer.
