Great Gulf Trail from Rt. 16 Trailhead to Spaulding Lake & a Bit Beyond: 26-Aug-2008
Trail Conditions: On 26-August, I hiked this trail from the Rt. 16 trailhead to Spaulding Lake, and then continued on the trail beyond Spaulding Lake to a point about a third of the way up the headwall. I found the trail to be in good shape. Of course there were occasional muddy spots, and an occasional blow down (all easy to duck under or scramble over). There were no problems negotiating any of the numerous water crossings.
