Date of Hike: 4/13/2013
Trail Conditions: Greeley Ponds and Mount Osceola Trail had an inch or so of fresh powder. Post holing only occurred if stepping off trail into woods
Equipment: Micro spikes worked fine until 3/4 of the way up East Osceola, when we abandoned the trip after one person slipped off the trail into the woods. Turning around we needed to put our snowshoes on to get any grip or have any confidence, still took us an hour to make it the 300ft back to flatter terrain. Crampons would have been nice.
