Trail Conditions: Perfect, no wind, no mud, not many bugs - The only hazard was the # of people coming up Falling Waters as we descended
Special Equipment Required: a good pair of eyes to take in the views
Comments: This is the follow-on posting to Great Pumpkin's July 4 post. Had a great breakfast at the hut and took off for the ridge at about 8:15am with 3 young whipper-snappers (Keith, RJ and Stephen). Perfect temps and no wind on the summit. A great ridge walk with not many people on the ridge because we were early. We did run into a young man doing the ridge in barefeet (because he hadn't done it before) As we approached Lil Haystack, the crowds started to mount. The boys had a little contest on the way down to guess how many people would be coming up the trail as we descended - 206! Finished at 12:30. Simply a great day on the ridge.
