I have been to Hadley Mtn, but in the summertime. Would like to do it in the winter but am concerned about the road conditions. It is a 2 hour drive at least from my house and do not want to get caught in bad road conditions. How is the road to hadley mtn plowed and is the parking lot plowed? As a matter of fact, how are all the roads in that area plowed. I remember when I went there, that I never saw a road sign anywhere in that area. I just kept heading in the general direction to get home until I hit a major interstate I reconized. I went through one village and did not know the name of it until i saw the firehouse. There were no signs.

i'm pretty sure you went through the town of Day... anyway, the roads should be fine, other then some snow on the roads you'll be okay... the dirt road to the TH is plowed and the parking lot is plowed. the road is a tight squeeze but should be okay....

don't forget when you get to the summit to head north along the summit ridge.. you'll get to some rock clearings and some more views

HADLEY !!! My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE mountain in the Southern ADKs, I have climbed this one about 2 dozen times . . . the roads are unmarked but usually stopping and asking will tend to get you there eventually. Have fun . . .

Hadley is great fun. Is also worthwhile while you're there to follow the ridge back to Roundtop, the next bump on the ridge, which also has great views. There is an on and off path with some interesting cairns from Hadley to Roundtop, and it's a short trip.

Road should be fine

I was up there last weekend and the road was clear. They may have gotten a couple inches up there today but in general the roads are well maintained all the way to the trailhead.

The trail's in great shape but don't forget your snowshoes!
