Only the last few hundred feet of the Hale Brook trail has any snow--it was about 8" deep, sporadic, and what couldn't be barebooted can easily be avoided. Muddy in places due to the residual snow melting off.
If you're planning to do Hale, you can safely leave your winter gear at home at this point. I wound up feeling a bit stupid for lugging around my snowshoes and yaktrax, but I figured better safe than sorry.
