Trail Conditions: Zealand Road is Open- Great day, sunny and warm, 60 degrees +/- The Hale Brook Trail (No Black Flies) Trail was clear of snow up to 3000' at the second stream crossing and then turned to monorail of snow 2-3' deep. Barebooted (had yak traks but not needed-soft snow) Post Holed on occassion. Followed friend Paul (self proclaimed Wookie) who cleared the path. Poles were helpful at two stream crossings and above 3000' where snow is present. Summit was clear of snow. Great view of Mt Washington from top of Carin.

Special equipment required: Poles and Wookie helpful.
