Date of Hike: 8/17/2008

Trail Conditions:

Varied from dry but soft to damp, muddy, and running water. North Twin - dry/soft, two blowdowns on the trail proper (along the river), plus many in the abandoned stretch. From the summit of North Twin, it was very narrow / closed in by spruce. Lend-A-Hand was especially wet. Twinway was relatively dry. Stream crossings no problem. Fire Warden's Trail was easily followed, although wet with running water in many sections.

Special Equipment Required: Be prepared for mud and water and slippery rocks

Comments: Third crossing of the Little River (coming down from North Twin) - best approach was to cross to the island and walk upstream a few dozen steps and cross there (above the fallen trees)
