trails: hancock notch trail
conditions: was out today to do trailwork from the kanc to the height of land in hancock notch. the trail was wet with mud in the usual spots. some running water on the trail in places and some standing water as well. patchy snow of little consequence in a couple sections. the water crossings were all rock hoppable at the crossing or a bit up or downstream.
equipment: nothing in particular.
comments: a cold wet day, but a good one to do a bit of trailwork. spent the whole day in a light snow which was clinging to the trees and sticking to the ground in spots. was pretty happy with how well the trail looked. the usual trouble spots remain as they will require heavier reconstruction work, but in general the trail is in nice shape. good to be out.
