Followed bare boot tracks to Loop trail, meeting up with father and young son? Steam crossings were manageable with plastic boots and poles- can easily bushwack around 2 (~5th crossing was deepest) by staying on east side of stream for 100 yards or so. At Loop trail, no tracks to North Hancock. Put on snow shoes, which made ascent to south summit much easier. Broke out ridge trail to North Peak and then descended back to Loop junction. There are a lot of blowdowns at the bottom of the route to North Peak. Snow pants and hooded jacket helpful- the boughs are laden. Snow shoes were very helpful for summit loops.
