Title should read 2-8-14, whoops.
Hancock parking lot was overflowing and not surprisingly the trail was well packed down. I carried snowshoes and never needed them. Busy day on the trails, I'd estimate a good 20-25 people out. Descending South Hancock there were a few short sections of dust on crust which you could see ahead of time but didn't keep me from eating it a couple of times. Paid for my standing glissades with a snapped pole--oh well.
In contrast to the busy trails on the Hancocks I had Tom, Field, Willey (via Crawford Notch) all to myself in the early evening. Trails were well broken out, only microspikes are needed. A couple of tracks continued down AZ past the Tom spur.
