Date of Hike: 12/26/2009
Trail Conditions: Firmly packed snow until North/South Hancock trail split. Stream crossings were no problem. Occasional post-holing and loose snow around loop; snowshoes recommended until ridge gets firmly packed again. No views today and it began sleeting on the trip back down. Round-trip: 9.8 miles/5hrs30min
Special Equipment Required: Bear-bootable with poles, but light traction and snowshoes recommended for occasional ice and loose snow.
