Trail Conditions: Hard crust covered with 1 inch of fresh snow. Icy on top, but we managed without crampons. Some difficult water crossings, but there were bridges when we needed them.
Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes - essential, Crampons - probably could have been used, but we didn't change to them.
Comments: After all the rains and warm weather we expected deep, slushy, muddy, and messy conditions. Instead we had a delightful winter hike!
