Great snow conditions. Snowshoes used (and required) all the way from the Garden to the summits. I had been concerned about how I'd descend the steep side of Little Haystack into the col, but it turns out that good snow cover makes it easier to do that in winter than in summer. Crampons used on the way down LH, but snow depth required changing back to snowshoes for the col and Haystack summit (no ice axe needed). I kept my snowshoes on when I climbed back up LH and over to Basin. Basin ladder exposed and climbable - very steep above the ladder! All trails there broken out as of Sunday, including Phelps trail to headwall, Shorey Shortcut, Range Trail from Basin to Saddleback, and down Orebed Brook (skiers were going up there today). "Good climbing!"
