Climbed Haystack yesterday (11-12).Temps were exeptional for this time of year.Started at the Garden at 8:45.from Slant Rock,took the Shorey Shortcut to reach the Range trail to the summit and returned by the red trail.Back to the car at 7:00 pm.Carried crampons but did not need them,lots of rocks sticking out for traction.
This could change with the temps going down.Always a must to carry microspikes or crampons at this time of year.
