hedgehog mtn., hiked 10 3 13. hiked the loop to the summit then over to the ledges and down, going counter clockwise from the hedgehog/potash trails parking area. trails all in good shape. this is a casual hike with only about 1200 ft gain. not many big rocks to hop over, but lots of roots. only seen 10 other people through course of day. no bugs. foliage was unbelievable from ledges looking east and south. a fantastic show that mother nature had prepared. none of the roadside views from the canc were as good as the ledges. lots of hardwoods along the oliverian brook valley that is overlooked by the ledges. some of the best foliage we have seen ever!!
