ADK High Peaks Partner for this week- Thus, Fri or Sat
Yeah, I know it's short-fuzed notice. That's the nature of my work schedule. Trying to work on the remaining 42 of the NE111.
About 1/3 of my NE 67 peaks were in winter or sub 32F conditions.
I'm open to anything but Porter, Cascade, Phelps and Big Slide, which I've already bagged.
Possibilities include "easy" hikes like
-Giant & Rocky Ridge
-Street & Nye if the forecast calls for lousy visibility
-Panther_Santanoni_Couchsachraga.
Much more challenging hikes that will require starting and finishing with headlamps; I'll bring along the Jet Boil stove so that we'll have hot meals:
-Dial_Nippletop_Colvin_Blake_Sawteeth.
5 peaks, 20+ miles. Gonna be a long day.
-Marcy_Gray_Skylight_Haystack_Table Top.
Again, 5 peaks, start early, finish late.
I trail-run 50 miles per month and have the gear for winter peak-bagging- crampons, enough layers to survive the night if necessary, etc.
