Hey everyone,
I have been involved with Habitat for Humanity for some time. Habitat is a great organization that gives a helping hand not a hand out, to families who need a safe and affordable home.
Our major fundraiser-Take a Hike for Humanity will be taking place at Mount Monadnock on May 21st and 22nd.
Basically this works the same as any walk- or hike-athon. All you need to do is collect some sponsors, and show up. Any help that you can provide is appreciated, although hikers who raise $100 or more will recieve a free T-shirt. There will also be a silent auction.
Checks can be made out to "Greater Manchester Habitat for Humanity".
You can contact me with any questions.
Our affiliate's contact information is:
Greater Manchester Habitat for Humanity
P.O. Box 5705
Manchester, NH 03108-5705
Tel: (603)626-3944
www.habitatmanchester.org
This comes at a very oppurtune time as I am also proud to announce, the Greater Manchester New Hampshire Affiliate has new project starting this spring. We will be building a duplex home which will house two deserving families.
If you would like to help out with the construction on site, providing food for workers, or becoming involved in any other way (we even have openings on several comitees), please let me know.
