We had a planned hike with fellow members of VFTT to Mount Moriah. But, after reading a trail report in which a group of hikers had lost the trail at 2500feet in deep snow, we cancelled that hike and just the two of us settled for Cathedral Ledge.
We bare booted the auto road to the fenced in viewpoint near the summit.
For minimal effort we had great views of:
Mount Washington Valley
Cathedral Ledge
Kearsarge
Ski area of Cranmore
North Moat with Red Ridge
White Ledge
Afterwards we drove over to the Northern trailhead of the Moats to check out the condition of the trail for a possible hike tomorrow.
We walked to Diana’s Bath
Where we saw this frozen sculpture.
