JAFFREY, N.H. (AP) -- A Massachusetts man hiking on Mount Monadnock collapsed and died early Sunday.
Fish and Game Sgt. Craig Morroco said Roland Jenkins, 57, of Tempelton was about three-quarters of the way up when he collapsed. A helicopter flew him to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Two companions said Jenkins was an active person and did not have any known medical conditions that would explain his collapse. [end quote]
