Interesting. I have been to the Hoher Goell. The range is right on the border with Germany. There is a nice hut right below the summit. http://www.purtschellerhaus.eu/wordpress/

They should build a cog railway to the top of that mountain... then exhausted hikers can just take the train down. Maybe a summit road if enough people wanna go.

Pretty flat in the Netherlands. Give them a break they probably didn't have much practice. At least in their own backyard.

The newspapers today are reporting that the ride down did cost each "hiker" $3,100. Hope it was worth it!

My son wished he could take a helicopter down from the top when he was 5 or 6, but he outgrew it.
