The Horn, the Bulge and Mt. Cabot (counter clockwise) via Unknown Pond, Kilkenny Ridge, and Bunnell Notch trails June 16, 2012.

Some parts of Unknown Pond and Bunnell Notch trails were wet and muddy; dry trails otherwise. Streams were running a little high but easily negotiable. Just above the Bulge there is evidence of recent removal of a large blowdown. Between Bulge and Cabot, just below Cabot summit the trail is pretty rough, with signs of erosion and a few washed out areas.

Special Equipment needed: none. As long as we were moving, the bugs left us alone. No ticks.

A warm clear day up on the Pliny Range. We didn't see anyone during our time on Unknown Pond trail, but the Horn and Cabot summit were busy today. Lots of hikers with dogs; everyone was happy to be hiking today.
