Unknown Pond Trail is somewhat overgrown, going through tall, wet ferns. Remarkably beautiful. Only a few marking on the trees but it was clear where the trail went. Passed Unknown Pond, Took a left on to Kilkenny and followed it to the Horn. Scrambled up boulders at the top. Some views with alternating sunshine and clouds. Continued on to the Bulge. and then climbed to Cabot. Just before you summit Cabot, massive blowdowns covering the trail, but it's clear how to get around it. Once you summit Cabot, it's a little confusing which is the right trail to take, but we figured it out.Descended down Kilkenny. Have to watch roots that are wating for you to trip on them and fall.Eventually hit Brunnell. Now very sunny day.

All in all trails in pretty good shape. This is one of the prettiest hikes I've ben on, going through forests. Very varied scenery. Great hike with my friend Sasha.

Need poles and sunscreen.
