This report is similar to the one posted for Jan. 1. I'll only add times and a few additional comments. Started from the Clear Pond PL at 6:50AM. Trails in very good shape all along the way. Arrived junction with Lillian Brook herd path at 9:15AM. I was joined by a group of 5 about 3/4 the way up. The herd path was was difficult to find near 4000 feet due to drifting snow. One of the 5 had a GPS system which we used to eventually get to the summit at 1:35PM. Windy, cold, but beautiful views all around. In snow shoes all day. A few tricky spots near the summit, but still manageable. Back to the trail junction by 4:00PM and to PL by 6:30PM. All in all a great day of hiking with 5 wonderful individuals with whom I was able to share the joys of accomplishment.
