how deep is the snow in the 3000 + ft range I would like to do the chicken coup brook aproach to basin in feb and need to start info gathering .My time is unfortunity short in the high peaks and I need to start weighting my options for the greatest sucsess rates .I was on the C.C.B. Last year when there was about 2 ft and it had been under freezing for a weak and a half .After breaking trail by my self for an hour on the brook, I arived at the slide and had to turn around because I had reached that time, 10 min, later I broke threw the Ice and was in up to my knees in water wet boots suck. so this year more snow, some company ,leave earlyer ,keep boots dry and hope Pin pin beaksit out with junior the weak before.
