Just a perfect day. Took my YMCA hiking group on a spring warm up hike. Spectacular weather, warm sun, great views. We went off trail to explore a gorgeous pitch pine forest. On the way back, Bookah and I took a very short detour and whacked up thru the mountain laurel to the actual summit of Huckleberry Point which is a Catskill200 summit.
If you haven't hiked this gem, go in June when the laurel that cover the last half mile to the overlook are in full bloom, or the autumn when the slopes across the Clove are in their fall glory.

Sabrina,

We came from Tannersville as PC Road is officially closed until 4/15. From the top of Huckleberry Pt I could see traffic driving up the road so we headed home that way.
Maybe the most spectacular drive in the northeast.
