We started up from the 'Rusk' parking lot with a large group of 3500 club
hikers around 8:30. Already felt warm. A few bugs when you are standing still.

Stopped at the John Robb lean-to for a protracted stay while we did lean-to maintenance education. Off again to the tower with Gordon, first time in the tower and the cabin, thanks man! :D

Lots of snow in the conifers, up to 2 feet, mostly firm though, a few postholes here and there.

Down and back up to SW hunter by the rail bed. Nothing different here. Back down to Diamond notch and out to the cars, with a 12-pack of brewskis and junk food waiting! :D

Met Peakbagr and Dick just before the end, shout out!

Cave Brewpub was excellent as always!

Off to bed, another hike tomorrow!

Tom really knows how to treat his guests. He and Laurie were leading a hike for the Catskill 3500 Club. My group was climbing Westkill and met them as we all got back to the TH. He invited us to share ice cold beverages, cheese and crackers set up on the trunk of his car. Very nice and very generous. Here's my shout out to Tom and Laurie. :D
