Friday Feb. 8. Trail was excellent today. I was able to bare boot to the fire tower. There was maybe an inch of snow over a crust from the intersection of Colonels Chair to the top. I never fell through. Saw a pine marten about .2 from the top. Stabilizers would have made the descent to the tote road at the hollow much easier. Cloudy day but much enjoyed.
