Overall easy walking on road most of hike, road is being repaired and or improved there are a few large piles of gravel
Crusty path/road first 1.5 miles, soft snow slushy for rest of day. Icy - slippery in am, easy to avoid. If I stepped off the path closer to the top very soft and calf deep.
Side paths to lean-to and lookout .4 mile past tower also easy walking overall, lean-to had small tricky spot with ice
Path to continue to LP and DN was not as well packed as rest decided not to try it.
