Access road and parking area are nearly impassable -- just deep ruts in consolidated snow. Four wheel drive and high clearance necessary. The trail is best traveled with snowshoes, which we wore all day. About 10-12 inches of snow at Gulf Brook Lean-to, stream easily crossed. More snow as we gained elevation, sinking about 4-5 inches, with snowshoes. Winds worthy of the mountain's name (well, not quite, but still a considerable wind chill factor) at the mostly bare-rock summit.
Snowshoes, good shovel for the road and parking area -- just in case, goggles and mask if you plan to spend time on the summit.
