Hurricane Mt - 10/7/11

Brian and I hiked Hurricane from the east today, up the old fire tower observer's road/trail. Trail is in excellent condition, what a beautiful approach to this lovely mountain.

Thanks Christine for all the maintenance you do on this beautiful trail, or is it Hurricane Mt Trial?

A little bird told me that Christine and friend took 5 hours to cut out the blowdown to open the trail a couple of weeks ago.
I heard that someone blocked off a hornet's ground nest with a backpack and the little buggers just couldn't wait until they regained their freedom to fly.
